How Soon Is Now?
I am the son and the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir

Department Of Homeland Security orders 450 Million New Bullets
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office is getting an "indefinite delivery" of an "indefinite quantity" of .40 caliber ammunition from defense contractor ATK. U.S. agents will receive a maximum of 450 million rounds over five years, according to a press release on the deal.
The high performance HST bullets are designed for law enforcement and ATK says they offer "optimum penetration for terminal performance." This refers to the the bullet's hollow-point tip that passes through barriers and expands for a bigger impact without the rest of the bullet getting warped out of shape: "this bullet holds its jacket in the toughest conditions.

Dominatrix raises cash for cancer-stricken pal
A DOMINATRIX is raising money for a cancer-stricken pal — by taking donations for bondage sessions.
January Seraph is offering to spend an extra half an hour with anyone who gives £30 to a fund set up to help sick Hollie Stevens.
Hollie, an adult movie actress, is fighting an aggressive form of breast cancer.
And loyal January, who works in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York, said: "Cancer is something we all know someone fighting. This is important to me, to help someone in need.
"Hollie is a friend who I care deeply about, and I'm trying to show that actions do speak louder than words." She added: "Hollie is too proud to ask for help herself, so myself and her other great friends are being pushy and helping her out whether she likes it or not.
"Show Hollie that she's loved and appreciated in her time of need. Because no one should feel alone when they are ill."

The Alan Parsons Project- Breakdown
Breakdown-Lyrics:
I breakdown in the middle and lose my thread
No one can understand a word that I say
When I break down just a little and lose my head
Nothing I try to do can work the same way
Good lord, the young man must be scarred for life!

Science Says Creativity And Dishonesty Go Hand In Hand
Turns out that people who are creative tend to cheat more. So how do you keep creativity from running amok?
Great scam artists are often described as “creative.” Jeffrey Skilling was a virtuoso of “creative accounting.” Bernie Madoff pulled off a “creative reinvention” of the old Ponzi scheme. And Charles Ponzi himself was a "creative promoter" and a "creative and ambitious businessman." Just last week, we met Mike Daisey, king of "creative license." Coincidence?
Perhaps not.
"The creative process isn’t just tied to dishonest behavior; it actually enables it."
A recent article in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology makes the claim that creativity walks hand in hand with loose ethics. Francesca Gino of Harvard University and Dan Ariely of Duke University conducted a series of experiments in which they asked subjects to complete various ethically ambiguous tasks. The result: Not only do naturally creative people cheat more than uncreative people, subjects cajoled into thinking outside of the box become cheaters, too. This suggests that the creative process isn’t just tied to dishonest behavior; it actually enables it--troubling news at a time when the corporate world treats innovation as an unimpeachable moral good.

Prank text about 'human remains' ends in police standoff
A Saskatoon woman’s random prank text message about a dead body led to armed police surrounding her family’s suburban home on the city’s east end.
The 25-year-old woman sent out text messages to a random phone number late Friday nigh that “made reference to human remains,” police said.
Of all the phone numbers she could have chosen to send the text to, the message ended up on the phone of an off-duty law enforcement officer from outside the city. The officer subsequently made a report to city police who traced the cellphone number to house on the city’s east side.
The prank backfired.

Kate Bush Cloudbusting
The song is about the very close relationship between psychologist and philosopher Wilhelm Reich and his young son, Peter, told from the point of view of the mature Peter. It describes the boy's memories of his life with Reich on their family farm, called Orgonon where the two spent time "cloudbusting", a rain-making process which involved pointing at the sky a machine designed and built by Reich, called a cloudbuster. The lyric further describes Wilhelm Reich's abrupt arrest and imprisonment, the pain of loss the young Peter felt, and his helplessness at being unable to protect his father. The song was inspired by Peter Reich's 1973 memoir, "A Book of Dreams", which Bush read and found deeply moving.
Calling All Angels and their Wings of Desire
A man is placed upon the steps, a baby cries
high above you can hear the church bells start to ring
and the heaviness, the heaviness oh settles in
somewhere you can hear a mother sing
then it's one foot then the other as you step out the road, out, step out to the road
how much weight? how much weight?
then it's how long? and how far?
and how many times oh before it's too late?
calling all angels walk me through this one
don't leave me alone
What does this mean? White House prepares for Martial Law.

Iron Sky Sneak Peek #13 - The First Four Minutes
I really want to like this film..... but I'm having a hard time getting into the "reality" of it. I mean, why do the astronauts seem affected by the moon's lesser gravity but the Nazi's seem to be walking in normal earth gravity? Would a traditional firearm work in the airless vacuum? The nazi motorcycles sputter as if using traditional gasoline engines.... and heck, sound on the moon?
DARK SHADOWS Official Movie Trailer
I imagine an entire fan-base is about to roll over in their graves..... after being put there at the shock of what's been done to their beloved Dark Shadows.

David Byrne - Good and Evil
Talkin' like a monster
Smellin' like a baby
You got a head like a bowl of cherries now
Don't be surprised
You got what it takes
Messin' round like monkeys and apes
Singing good and evil, good and evil
They turn 'em loose and they turn into people

Jethro Tull - Jack-A-Lynn
Cold aeroplanes, slow boats, warm trains
remind me of Jack-A-Lynn.
Lush hotels and pretty girls
won't cheer the misty mood I'm in.
Silly, sad, I've never had to write this before,
Big Log (1983)
Lyrics:
My love is in league with the freeway
It's passion will ride, as the cities fly by
And the tail-lights dissolve, in the coming of night
And the questions in thousands take flight
My love is the miles and the waiting
The eyes that just stare, and a glance at the clock
Al Stewart - Terminal Eyes
Cut glass porcupine sailing on the Serpentine
Fingers on the skyline pulling down the black blinds
Terminal eyes at the edge of the night
Rivulet of dark wine moving in a straight line
Sumdging out the stop signs, running down the life lines
Terminal eyes at the edge of the night
Shadows on the ceiling, coffee cup congealing
Tarot cards revealing, a solitary feeling

CA Teacher Placed On Leave After Students Discover Her Porn Site
A California middle school teacher has been placed on leave after administrators learned from students that the educator appears in porn videos available online.
Stacie Halas, a 31-year-old science teacher at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard, was removed from the classroom Monday, three days after pupils reported spotting her in a series of X-rated clips.
“Maybe it's not a crime as far as the penal code is concerned, but we feel it's a crime as far as moral turpitude is concerned,” said Jeff Chancer, superintendent of the Oxnard school district.

Asteroid may hit earth feb 15, 2013. My birthday. Oh.
Astronomers say it will pass at a distance of 17,000 miles from the surface of the Earth - which is much closer to the ground than GPS and communications satellites orbit. In comparison, satellites that provide television and radio signals to the public orbit at an altitude of more than 22,000 miles. GPS satellites orbit at about 12,000 miles in altitude.

Fine Young Cannibals - I'm Not The Man I Used To Be
When I'm in trouble or out of step
If my balance has been upset
Oh, there's a feeling I can't accept
There's one thing that helps me to forget
Wonder what I'm thinking
Wonder why I'm drinking
But it's plain to see,
I'm not the man I used to be
