Dexter question for those who watched last Sunday's episode. No spoilers here, just a theory posed as a question. Does Professor Geller really exist? Or might Travis have murdered him a few years back, and now Geller only exists in the mind of Travis, the way Dexter's father and brother appear to him? Consider, we've never seen Geller interact with ANYONE except Travis. And we know from last Sunday's episode that Travis is an exceptional artist (according to his sister). Is it possible Travis killed Geller years ago, and Geller now exists only as Travis' own Dark Passenger?
For the last two years Geller has existed only as Travis' own dark passenger. Geller's body is probably in the basement of the Church. We never see Geller drive a car, never see him pay for anything (like the dress for the whore) or actually touch the victims. It's all Travis. And in last sunday's episode, Travis' sister told her students that her brother was an amazing artist: maybe he's the one painting Gellar's paintings in the church. Geller never drives, never touches the victims, never speaks directly to them? That Travis' sister remarked about her brother being a great artist.... ? And this could all fit with the TA professor who had the affair with Geller and her opinion of him as just eccentric: Geller was never a murderer. The fact he had a normal affair with a TA is also apparently at odds with the kind of Geller that we see interacting with Travis.
